Role at IDSA
As Secretary General of IDSA, Mr. Romesh Kumar Puri is responsible for guiding the Association’s strategic direction, managing its day‑to‑day functioning and anchoring its external engagement. He leads the Secretariat’s work on policy advocacy, regulatory dialogue, research and member support, ensuring that IDSA’s positions are aligned with national priorities, consumer interest and global best practices in direct selling.
Under his leadership, IDSA aims to deepen its collaboration with policymakers and regulators, strengthen compliance and governance standards among member companies, and highlight the sector’s contribution to entrepreneurship, employment and inclusive growth. His focus is on building an enabling ecosystem where direct selling can grow transparently and sustainably.
Sound policy is built on evidence, dialogue and a clear understanding of how reforms impact people on the ground. For the direct selling industry, this means aligning growth with transparency, consumer trust and long‑term national priorities..
